There is nothing quite like a fresh Christmas tree for the home. Growing up, my family always had a fresh tree, up until that one year when we had to swap out the fresh pine tree for a faux tree due to the discovery that my brother was allergic to pine. That seemed like a travesty at the time, but the older I’ve gotten, I’ve seen the wonderful benefits of a faux tree and haven’t looked back since.

So what’s so great about a faux tree?

FITS EVERY BUDGET

For one, you can find a great faux tree at any price point. And if you decide to splurge and invest in a more expensive option, it really pays for itself year after year.

NO NEED TO WATER IT

Yep, just take out of the box, stand it up, and voila.

JUST AS GOOD AS THE REAL DEAL

If you thought you can’t find a fake tree that looks as good as the real deal, think again. There are styles that feature real-feel tree tips, like this feel real artic spruce tree , that really give the appearance of a real tree. You also are able to shop by tree type, fullness, and height, just as you would going to a tree farm in person.

CAN FIND STYLISH OPTIONS

Sure, you can go with a traditional green fir style, but one great benefit to a faux tree is you can find stylish trees in other colors like champagne, blush, or white if you’re looking for an alternative tree for the holidays.

TO FLOCK OR NOT TO FLOCK

A lot of people love the look of a flocked tree, that is adorned with faux snow along its branches. You can easily DIY a real tree with that look, but you also have the option of purchasing a faux tree already flocked and ready to go.

PRE-LIT

Perhaps the BEST benefit to a faux tree is the advantage of finding one pre-lit with lights. If you despise the act of arranging string lights on a tree, this is well worth it. Plus, if you want all the bells and whistles, you can even find styles with features like color-changing lights for that real wow factor.

I’m sharing 24 great-looking faux trees below, all of which are pre-lit styles. I also did not include the prices here as a lot of retailers will have their Christmas trees on new promos from now leading up to Christmas so that’s worth keeping in mind if you’re on the hunt for your perfect tree. I have featured a range of retailers that are some of the best places to find a wide range of options.
