I never really stick to just one style when decorating. Rather, I like incorporating different styles and for a unique look. When you do that, you also open yourself to so many different pieces, colors, textures you can work with and mix together. Sometimes that process can feel a bit daunting, so if you are looking for some guidance with how to style a console table, I’ve created 4 looks below that show how to start. I styled each with 2 lamps, but 1 lamp always looks just as good for any console look. No matter what style you lean towards, there are certain no-fail items that always work and serve as a starting base to add on from that I feature below:

1 Abstract Art , option 2: Wall Art | 2 Lamp , option 2 here & here | 3 Bowl | 4 Glass Vase | 5 Faux Flowers + Vase , other option: Glass Vase with Gold Rim | 6 Baskets

Light Gray and Black Console Table , Eli Console Table , Vintage White Wash Console Table

What I like about this look is it is clean and minimal, but still shows how you can add color without it being over the top. The end result is an exciting console look -perfect for an entryway! You could easily use one lamp and still have a balanced look with the vase balancing the lamp out.

1 Art Print | 2 Lamps | 3 Decorative Box , similar styles: Decorative Box Set , Sea Blue Decorative Box | 4 Small Framed Print | 5 (original no longer available) , other options: Set of 2 Antique Gold Candle Holders , Antique Brass Taper Holders , Duca Candleholder

Raffia Console Table , Indigo Console Table , Blue and Gold Desk , Black Metalwork Console Table

I call this a Transitional look, but it really could lend itself to more traditional or contemporary based on the style of console table you are working with. It’s classic, chic, and easy to work with different style components.

1 Botanical Art Prints | 2 Lamp #1 , Lamp #2 , Lamp #3 , Lamp #4 | 3 Decorative Planter , Textured Ceramic Vase | 4 Gold Mirror Tray | 5 Faux Greenery in Vase , 2nd option: Raindrop Glass Vase + Artificial Lemon Leaf Spray

Grasscloth Console Table , Burl Wood Console Table , Brown Rattan Console Table

If you like to make a statement with your decor, but also like it to look cohesive, this Botanical Eclectic look is a great example of just how to do that. Pair different pieces like this natural table with modern sea green lamps and add a bold art piece to set the overall look - here the botanical art works to make the look classic but with a twist.

1 Susan Abell Original Art , Morning Marsh Art , Sea Meditation Framed Canvas | 2 Lamp #1 , Lamp #2 , Lamp #3 , Lamp #4 | 3 Terra Cotta Pot | 4 Book Stack Set #1 , Book Stack Set #2 , Book Stack #3 | 5 Ceramic Vase + Lemon Leaf Spray | 6 Turtle Shell Figurine Set

Gray Driftwood Console Table , Folsom Console Table , Stone Gray Reclaimed Wood Console Table

Simple and natural decor is having a moment now more than ever, and if you tend to favor modern natural decor this is a great example of how to bring it life with a console table. This looks lends toward coastal modern with the art chosen. For a more modern look, you could easily modify with a black abstract art piece. The black lamps help bring the modern component alive here, and I think add a nice balance to the earthy tones paired with them.
